OK, so when I was trying to find a photo for this post, the choices were passionfruit or passion in the bedroom… so I went for a passionfruit flower!
One thing I’ve noticed lately is that I have a passion. I want to inspire people to fall in love with stories, whether writing or reading them.
I have experienced the advice given by ‘experts’ doesn’t suit everyone, especially not neurodivergent people, and I want to give other strategies. Strategies that work for me and worked for my kids. I want people to find their voice and the way they want to do it so it’s an enjoyable experience.
I have no idea how to turn this into something people will pay me for.
I have also noticed that when I talk to people about this, my passion shines through.
But when I write it, sometimes it comes through.
When I talk to a camera without someone else there, my passion doesn’t come through at all!
So many people say ‘but it’s so easy’ and ‘you just need to get on camera more’.
I am on camera a lot! I run Zoom meetings & have been on the TV news. I have no issue getting on camera… it’s more that when I sit with just the camera, I’m not able to relax, talk, and let the passion shine through.
I have no idea if I overthink, or I need the reaction of a person to formulate my message. I have no idea.
I’m going to keep working to find ways to share my passion, turn it into something people will pay me for, and do it my way.
Watch this space….
